THE BROOKLYN GOWN
CLAIRE + CAMPBELL
With a style all of her own, Bride Claire walked down the aisle in a customized version of our BROOKLYN gown, with sheer lace panels inserted into the plunging sides. During the reception Claire ditched her beautiful long veil and heels in favour of some chucks ( converse), and when I saw these pics I knew I had found a spirit animal bride.

Describe you and your guy? How did you know he was The One?
He is the kindest guy and we laughed a lot – still do.
What's your bridal style?
I aimed for modern / cool bride vibes. I wanted to keep it simple, which was harder than I thought it would be when there are so many beautiful bridal pieces and lots of people to give advice.
What made you fall in love with your &FL dress?
I first tried on the bronze Brooklyn dress which was so amazing. But I felt like I wanted to utilise, really, the only opportunity to wear a white gown. I also loved the lace version and I wasn’t looking for sequins but I loved the way the sequin dress draped. So I combined the lace inserts with the white sequins. It was simple, light and comfortable but with some sass.
Describe your wedding- any inspiration or themes were your drawn to when planning? What was the vibe?
City/industrial but close to the ocean. Other than lots of beautiful flowers we left the rest to the Auckland harbor view and cool restaurant.
Fave thing about your day? Any surprises?!
The weather was appalling but it meant everyone had to stay inside together and the night turned into a wild party with our closest friends and family. The food and speeches were the highlights and both were unbelievably good! Spending time with our siblings and having our good friend as the celebrant made the day even more special.
"...all I remember from the day is laughing and dancing and all the love with my dream guy, family and best friends..."
What does marriage mean to you?
Sharing adventures with my best friend.
What's the one piece of advice you could give to brides?
Be organised well before the day so as it gets closer you can just enjoy it. Some of the small details that didn’t go exactly to plan are now completely forgotten and all I remember from the day is laughing and dancing and all the love with my dream guy, family and best friends.
Life post-wedding means ....
We continue the adventure.
