Aimee + Adam

#&FLREALBRIDE FEATURE

THE ADA

Aimee and Adam celebrated their nuptials with their twin girls, family and friends with an intimate ceremony of around 30 people, and then a big party with their nearest and dearest later on in the evening. Burgers and pizza enhanced the chill and laid back vibes, with friends acting as the DJ’s. It’s clear that fun and laughter was the goal at this wedding!

Aimee has officially taken our ADA gown to the next level, with the low back showing off her ultra cool tattoos, and pairing her gown with a pair of simple strappy shoes and a tight elegant bun, proving that less is definitley  more.

Describe you and your guy?

We compliment each other well and make sure each other doesn’t take life too seriously. I’d say we’re a pretty good team.

How did you meet?

Our friendship groups would cross paths in our early 20’s so we had a lot of mutual friends and always knew who one another were. I decided to move to London in 2019, Adam had already been living there for 5 years. We decided to meet up for a coffee on a random Sunday morning and ended up staying out till 2am, best date of our lives and it never really stopped after that. We moved in together pretty quickly and the rest is history! It’s cheesy but it was one of those “when you know you know” moments.

How did you know he was The One?

It was the immediate chemistry, he had me doubled over laughing from the start. He has a calmness about him which I love because it ultimately makes me feel calm as well.

Describe yourself?

I like simple pleasures and home comforts. Nothing is more appealing to me than an early night and fresh bedding.

What do you do?

I’m a recruiter! I match amazing people to their amazing dream job.

What is your regular street style?

I love most things oversized and relaxed, boyfriend jeans, baggy tshirts but with some bold statement gold Jewellery - that sort of thing

What was your bridal style vision?

My Pinterest board was a lot of photos of glowy natural makeup, slick buns and classic dresses with a twist

What made you fall in love with your &FL dress and where did you find it?

Out of every dress I tried on it was the only one that truly made me feel like myself. The sleeves and the back out are exactly what I would go for if I was choosing a dress for an event. My mams reaction sealed the deal!

Describe your wedding- any inspiration or themes you were drawn to when planning? What was the vibe?

I LOVE attending other people’s weddings but I’ve never wanted to get married in front of a big group of people, so we decided to have an intimate ceremony of around 30 people and then a big party with all our nearest and dearest on the evening. I’d say the over all vibe for the day was keep it simple! We served burgers and pizza, our friends were the DJ’s, it was all very chilled - just how we wanted it.

Fave thing about your day? Any surprises?!

I’d say my favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing Adam waiting for me. I think that will stick in my head forever. And also dancing the night away, only stopping for a margarita top up.

What does marriage mean to you?

We have babies and a house so we’ve always said marriage wouldn’t change anything because we already feel so locked in. But since that day we have been in a real newlywed bubble and it’s definitely changed things, we feel more connected, in love/smitten than ever before!

What's the one piece of advice you could give to brides? Soak it up. Someone gave me great advice ahead of our day, they said…when you can, step back on your own and just watch the room for a minute, see people laughing, dancing and chatting and soak it all up. And I’m so glad I took a few of those little moments.

Life post-wedding means .... the 5 years leading up to the wedding have been so fast paced and hectic, so post wedding means calm. Lots of time with our twin girls and families, nice trips, weekends spent at the beach and things of that nature.
